What Is Transcribe Anywhere?

Transcribe Anywhere is one of the most popular and detailed transcription courses on the market.

It was developed by Janet Shaughnessy, who saw a serious lack of high-return training for anyone considering a transcribing career.

Many people don’t understand that there is much more that goes into turning pieces of audio or video clips into intelligible notes.

The course features two main “specialty” options. You can either choose general transcription or pursue a career in legal transcription

Aside from that, its main selling point is that you can learn at your own time or pace.

So say you’re not available today or tomorrow, but you don’t want to miss any classes.

The gist of it is that you can decide when you want to learn.

Who Is It For?

Like most online courses, it’s best for learners who are busy but are eager to learn something without fear of getting distracted or pressed for time.

It’s designed for anyone serious about pursuing a career in transcription, whether general or legal.

But more than that, the course offers amazing lifetime support because the creator believes that everything is a learning process.

I suggest you look into the course if you want an affordable, highly detailed resource for building a successful transcription business.

How Does It Work?

Transcription is basically turning audio into written passages. This is usually done by listening to a recording while typing it out on some application.

Sounds simple enough, right?

On the contrary, it is anything but.

The biggest problem with transcription is that it is very time-consuming. More often than not, you’ll be going through your recordings and transcriptions over and over.

That is—if you want to be 100% accurate. And let’s be honest, accuracy plays a huge factor in determining how much you can charge for your services.

There are several skills that an aspiring transcriptionist needs to develop:

  • Typing accuracy coupled with speed
  • Spelling, punctuation, and grammar proficiency
  • Decent research skills and web/tech knowledge

The course will walk you through honing these skills as well as help you develop your business.

This means you don’t need to accept low-paying jobs as a transcriptionist.

Remember I told you that regular transcribers get paid $20 an hour on average

It’s usually calculated per audio hour. So you’re paid for every hour of audio you transcribe — not how long you spend on it.

And with the average 4:1 ratio (four hours transcribing for one hour of audio) for transcription work, it doesn’t really equate to much.

Janet walks you through signing contracts with high-paying clients so you get paid exactly what you deserve.

Is Transcribe Anywhere Legit?

Yes, it’s 100% legitimate. It’s one of the most popular courses online for a reason.

And that reason is that it works.

I understand your apprehension. I’ve encountered my fair share of scams.

And with the affiliate marketing opportunity with this program, you might think twice about it actually being helpful.

Unlike other similar courses out there, Transcribe Anywhere is backed by customer testimonials and years of experience tucked neatly under the belt of its creator.

Transcribe Anywhere Reviews

As I said, the program is one of the best in the market. There are several things that I like about the course, such as:

  • The course allows you to set your own pace so you don’t feel rushed and that you can complete the course as quickly or as slowly as you need to.
  • You’ll be certified if you pass the course. You’ll be required to take a final test which dictates whether you’ve completed the course or not.
  • The creator will walk you through where to find ideal clients and how you can sign high-ticket clients.
  • Access to course content is valid forever, so you don’t have to worry about taking notes or forgetting certain lessons.

That said, it’s certainly not a perfect system. Let’s take a look at what I would consider deal-breakers if it was me on the other side of the screen:

  • It’s crazy expensive. If you’re looking into a career in transcription, I wouldn’t recommend spending this much right as you’re starting because then you’re prone to mental breakdowns when you don’t immediately land a client.
  • There’s no guarantee that you will find a high-paying job in the field.

Transcribe Anywhere Cost

As I said, it’s crazy expensive. But if you’re willing to take the risk, it might just be worth it.

The general transcription course will cost you $797, while the legal course costs $897.

What did I say? Expensive, right?

Fortunately, they offer a pay-as-you-go option which means you’ll be able to divide the cost while you’re learning.

Oh — and if you want to take both courses, you can get it for a discounted price of $1,297.

Is Transcribe Anywhere Really Worth It?

Like many other ventures, I like to think that it’s going to be worth it if you’re willing to put in the effort and work required to make it successful.

There’s no such thing as an overnight success.

So if you want to invest your money in a crazy expensive course, make sure you’re ready to do everything it takes to get your ROI.

After all, spending nearly $1,000 on a learning course that isn’t necessary might just be the straw that breaks the camel’s back if, after months, you find yourself ready to throw in the towel.

The good news is that you’ll be learning a lot of different techniques to help you find your dream clients and how you can get high-paying contracts.

Plus, you also get access to the Facebook group, where there are plenty of job opportunities for you.

The risk is all in how you move forward after you’ve completed the course.

Transcribe Anywhere Review Verdict

Transcribe Anywhere is a good choice for you if you’re determined to get a leg up on your competition and don’t mind spending a bit of money to make it happen.

Yes, it’s quite expensive. But the fact that it goes into so much detail to teach you more than just the basics is something that you’ll find very helpful, especially if you want to start signing high-ticket clients.

Plus, you get to decide your own pace for learning. So you can take it as quickly or drag it out for as long as you want to.

All in all, it’s a great online course, and it is definitely not a scam. However, whether you choose to pursue it or not is entirely up to you.
